Installation stops at 90% and rolls back

If the installation of MVN Studio 3.x.x goes to approx 90% of the installation and says "installation can't continue, rolling back installed components..." and it moves the progress slider backwards and installation ends without any further options. This happens if the version of Codemeter installed on your computer is newer than the version in the MVN Studio installer.

 

Solving the issue

Windows 7: go to Control Panel>Programs and Features> and uninstall "Codemeter", then go to "c:\Program Files (x86)\, delete the folder called "Codemeter" . If you cannot delete the folder, restart the PC and try again. Re-install MVN Studio and re-activate the license(s).

 

Windows XP: go to Control Panel>Add Remove Programs> and uninstall "Codemeter", then go to "c:\Program Files (x86)\, delete the folder called "Codemeter". If you cannot delete the folder, restart the PC and try again. Re-install MVN Studio and re-activate the license(s).
