Setting the MTi in another reference coordinate system than the default

The MTi in Normal Mode outputs orientation in an ENU-referenced coordinate system. This can be changed in several ways, so be careful to set the correct setting.

1. Preferred option

The intended use of orientation resets is when the MTi is installed and orientation data is directly outputted from the onboard filter. Below is the preferred method.

  • Step 1: set the MTi to onboard processing (orientation data should be on)
  • Step 2: set the orientation reset in MT Settings and don't forget to choose "Write to MT"
  • The MTi should now be outputting ENU data

2. Other options

Other options are possible, but do have drawbacks and should be used with caution.
