My Motion Tracker is not detected, what can I do?

MTi-10 and MTi-100 series

The preferred connection is USB. It does not make use of a (virtual) COM port of any kind. If for any reason the COM interface does not work anymore and the MTi is not detectable, please connect the unit via the USB connection. Using the USB connection you can change the settings of the COM interface. 

If you do not have a direct USB connection available and you need to use the COM interface, please try the restore communication option. Run MT Manager and open the Restore Communication wizard in the Tools menu. If no message box pops up or if it states 'Settings not restored', please try again at least once. Please note that the restore communication function can only be used if you are using the COM interface.
