When this error is shown when using the COM object or MATLAB example, there are some actions you can take. First of all, please make sure that the 64bit redistributable of Visual Studio 2015 is installed (using MT Software Suite 4.7). It can be found here.
- Go to the command prompt (windows start button => type cmd in the search box).
- In the command prompt go to the Xsens library folder (C:\Program Files\Xsens\MT Software Suite [....your version number....]\MT SDK [....your version number....]\x64\lib)
- Type regsvr32 xsensdeviceapi_com64.dll
- Now the 64 bit COM object is registered and you should be able to run the MATLAB example.
This error can also occur when a different version of the XDA is selected. MATLAB will use the newest installed version of the MT Software Suite. If you are using new and legacy products alternately, you can apply the above described method to switch XDA versions if needed. Make sure to change the path to the appropriate software version.
