When you want to update your license (e.g. to renew your life time license), you should provide the Key ID to our Customer Service for updating.
What is Key ID?
Key ID is a set of numbers. It is the unique identifier that can help our customer service to process your license renewal.
How to find Key ID?
You simply open to MVN software. Click "Help" in the menu bar and select "About Xsens MVN".
A window will pop up and show the list in the bottom part. Open "Key Details" and you will find the Key ID in the first row.
You can also open Xsens MVN License Manager (or Xsens MVN Software Activation). Then click "License Info" and you will find the Key ID.
You simply capture the screenshot and send the picture to Customer Service.
Key Type represents the type of license: hardware (dongle license) or software (node-locked license). It is located under the row of the Key ID.
If you are using a dongle license and your computer has activated a software license before, you need to double check the Key Type because it will show two different Key ID in the same window.
If you renew your Dongle license, please make the sure type of the Key ID you provided is HASP-HL.
If you renew your System license, please make sure the type is HASP-SL.
Once you have received confirmation of the license renewal from Xsens Customer Service, perform the following steps to activate the renewal.
NOTE: If you are updating a Dongle license, make sure the dongle is connected to the PC when performing the renewal activation.
NOTE: If you have a System license, make sure that no dongle is connected to the PC when performing the renewal activation.
NOTE: Make sure you have an internet connection on the PC when performing the renewal activation.
1. Open Xsens MVN License Manager (or Xsens MVN Software Activation)
2. Select Update license subscription and click Next >
3. The license update will be automatically retrieved and applied. You can now use your renewed license with MVN.
