Link Firmware Update

Step 1: Download the latest firmware updater. It can be found on the downloads page of the Xsens website.

Step 2: Extract the zip file, install the Firmware Updater, and run it. It will look like this…



Step 3: Make sure MVN software is closed and only the Firmware updater is running.


Step 4: Grab the Link body pack, an Ethernet cable (NOT the micro USB cable), the upper and lower extension cables, all 18 trackers, and the Link battery. Connect the battery to the body pack, connect all trackers and extension cables to the body pack, power the body pack on , and use the Ethernet cable to connect the body pack to your PC.



Step 5: Run the Firmware Updater and press "Next" to scan for devices. The light on the body pack should be slowly blinking in a consistent manner. When the devices (body pack and trackers) are identified, they'll be displayed like this...


 *In the screenshot above, only 3 trackers are connected vs. all 18 trackers. 


Step 6: Click "Next" and wait for this message to appear...


Press "Next" again and wait for all devices to be updated (about 10 minutes for all 18 trackers and body pack). You'll know the update is complete when you see this message...


Click "Finish", power down the body pack by pressing its button 3 times in a row. Now you are ready to start capturing data.
