MTi in bootloader mode

In rare occassions, the MTi doesn't fully finish its start-up sequence. Causes are diverse, but in most cases this is an accidental occurrence. In order to regain control of the MTi, follow the steps below:

  1. To know that you are in the bootloader you can request the firmware version. If the major version is equal to 0xFF (255) the device is in the bootloader. You can check the firmware version using MT Manager, by opening the Device Settings window (device_settings_icon.png). Alternatively, you can request the firmware version through a ReqFWRev low-level command:
         FA FF 12 00 EF
  2. First try running the Firmware Updater with your device. The latest Firmware Updater can be found here.
  3. If this does not solve the issue, you will need to manually get the MTi out of bootloader mode. Provided that there is a valid firmware in the MTi, send it a BOOTLOADER_FINISHED message:
         FA FF F2 01 46 C8
You can do this in MT Manager by using the Device Data View (device_data_view_icon.png). Copy the BOOTLOADER_FINISHED message into the Message field and click Send:

  1. After a short period you should then receive the normal wakeup message (FA FF 3E 00 C3)
